Working — Not a Job — Is the Solution to All Your Problems
In the office, you don’t get to make the rules.
Working a job feels like a devil.
Let’s be clear. A job is a job. Paying back your student loan while working at a bank is a job. Doing the nine-to-five thing while answering to a 50-year-old is a job.
A job is a work.
Working is when you choose to do work in exchange for money.
Working is the greatest cure for your problems because you’re in control.
You choose your hours and your colleagues. You don’t have to bend to the will of the man or woman above you. You don’t answer to a boss or a manager, you answer to your own ideas, mission, and values.
A job is a devil. Working is a savior.
“Working” is an outdated concept
Work began in factories. If you didn’t work you didn’t get to eat.
It became a default mentality that eventually led to jobs in the 20th century. Jobs got you fed. If you didn’t work you didn’t get fed.
Now, the default mentality is that if you don’t work you don’t get to eat.
