It’s time to get back to real writing. The alternative is a dead end.

Twitter has been a nightmare for a long time.

The platform regularly purges users, messes with organic reach, and screws up its algorithms. The user experience is awful, and they’re still trying to make it worse.

That’s why I’ve decided to write less.

It‘s just endless scrolling, endless notifications, endless news, and endless distractions. It’s like a mini Matrix that eats your time.

Writing less is the antidote. It’s time to get back to “real” writing. Because the alternative is a dead end.

A writing race no one cares about

Writing for views on platforms like Twitter is exhausting.

The race to get as many views as possible within the first hour or two is a terrible game to play. You’ll eventually get a viral piece of content.

Then what?

It feels like the world has changed and you’re a big deal when it happens. But then it all falls apart.

A viral piece of content is a one-off opportunity. It’s unlikely you’ll get the same result again.
