My writing was so bad I later deleted everything from it. I felt like a fraud…
I felt like that because I had read a self-help book from a writer once. In the book, the author discussed his writing process.
The writer said he writes at night for 4 hours. He starts at 10 pm. Before 12 pm, he has a few thousand words in his document. He goes to bed with the satisfaction of a job well done.
Later, at 6 am, he wakes up and writes until 8 am. He spends most of his day editing what he wrote at night. That way he could still pretend to be an office worker from 9 to 5 while writing in his pajamas.
This writer still has a job. He’s not a millionaire. He’s not famous. He’s not a best-selling author. And to be honest, I don’t think much of his writing either.
